An unuasual video has emerged of a maggot race organised in Flamborough, North Yorkshire, UK by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

The footage, shot on July 27, shows the maggots rushing down coloured tracks into a pot.

"The game is takes place on a board which has rows of tracks which allows the maggots to wiggle down," the filmer wrote.

"The gamblers place their money down on a colour coded board so the winner is decided by whichever colour track the first maggot falls from."
