A female Tapir escapes from the Bukittinggi Zoo, Indonesia, on Monday night, August 28, 2017, seen on a CCTV monitor as he passes on a suspension bridge walking towards the Fort de Kock castle's tourist attraction.

Zoo's security guards are assisted by officers from the West Sumatera Conservation and Rescue Center (BKSDA) who see tapirs through CCTV monitors directly trying to catch tapirs to the bridge, but because the dark makes the tapir disappear quickly.

The search proceeds to the Fort de Kock Fortress and to the surrounding residents. Tapirs were only discovered the next morning when Tapir was trapped in a pond in the Bung Hatta Palace area, less than 1 kilo meters from the zoo.
