A private security company in South Africa evicts 'desperate' people occupying empty houses. More than 50 individuals currently on a housing waiting list took up residence in the buildings.

The residents, based in Delft on the outskirts of Cape Town, say they have been on the housing waiting list for more than 20 years and have reached the end of their tether.

The video shows private security company the Red Ants removing residents and their belongings from the houses. The Red Ants are appointed by the city and specialise in clearing “illegal invaders” from various properties.
