In centuries old tradition, Malay choirs in Cape Town donned their finest and brought song and dance to the Streets of the Cape Flats.

The Primrose male voice choir marched through a suburb in the South of Cape Town in pink sports jackets and feathers in their caps to the music of trumpets and guitars as members of the public looked on.

The Malay choirs are traditional male choir groups that sing songs in Dutch following the influence of the early colonial times. The road march is a celebration of freedom from slavery and promotes the diverse culture and religious mix in the Cape.
