A brave man dived into a river to rescue a drowning woman in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Ruian in Zhejiang Province on November 27 shows a woman struggling in a river and a man running to jump into the water to rescue her.

A sanitation worker stretched his broom out to them to help pull them back to the shore.

According to reports, the 59-year-old man named Chen Guangpao is a truck driver.

He was doing morning exercise in a nearby park and suddenly heard his friend saying that someone dropped into the river.

So Chen threw his phone onto the ground immediately and ran to rescue the drowning woman.

11月27日上午9时许，浙江瑞安，一名女子不慎落入水中，在淹没瞬间的危急时刻，岸边跑来一名环卫工人和一名男子，男子纵身跳入水中救人，环卫工人用手中的扫把伸入水中帮忙救援，最终溺水人员安全被救。落水女子被救上岸后，随后跳水救人的男子默默离开。
经过了解，救人的男子叫陈光跑，今年59岁，是一名货车司机。
他说，早上他和往常一样，在塘下镇上马生态公园晨练。突然听到远处有朋友喊：“有人掉河里了，快去救人！”陈光跑扭头一看，身后不远处的河里有人在扑腾，落水位置与他仅有二三十米。他立刻冲了出去，掏出手机丢在地上，从栏杆上一跃跳下了河，游向落水女子，奋力将她拉了回来。
