A man stole a piece of pork meat from a butcher after the price of it increased by over 50 per cent in southern China.

In the CCTV clip, shot in Ziyang city in Sichuan province on August 30, a man grabbed a small piece of pork from a butcher's board and stuffed into his pocket before walking away.

Since the owner was taking care of another customer, he did not pay attention to the man.

According to reports, the price of pork meat increased by more than 50 per cent due to the African swine flu.
