A heroic motorist shouted to stop a woman after her car caught on fire on a road in southern China.

In the video, shot in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province on January 5, a fire suddenly broke out of the bottom of a car when it was driving along a road.

A man from the vehicle behind can be heard honking and shouting, "it is on fire! Your car is on fire!" while overtaking the burning car.

Thanks to the motorist, the woman in the car was not injured. The incident is in further investigation.

警方通报：广州番禺警方通报一小轿车自燃初步调查情况
1月5日10时35分许，番禺警方接到群众报警，称一辆车牌号为粤SZL2**的小轿车在广州南站西进门斜坡路段发生自燃。接到报警后，番禺警方立即派出警力赶赴现场，迅速疏导周边路段交通，配合消防部门灭火。10时50分许，火势被扑灭，现场无人员被困和伤亡。
经查，该车为私家车，事发时只有驾驶员一人，无受伤。经初步调查，起火原因为车辆故障自燃。
目前，该起事故正在进一步调查处理中。
