A bystander saved a woman trapped in a submerged car after an intersection collision in southern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Jieyang in Guangdong Province on January 4.

Two vehicles collided, sending one of them careening into an adjacent river.

The smaller vehicle, submerged in the turbulent waters, posed a life-threatening situation for its female driver. With remarkable courage, she managed to open the sunroof and climb onto the roof of her sinking car, desperately awaiting help.

Witnessing the perilous scene, nearby Good Samaritans sprang into action, quickly securing a rope and orchestrating a daring rescue mission.

With precision and teamwork, they managed to pull the submerged vehicle to the safety of the riverbank, ultimately rescuing the distressed woman.

Shortly thereafter, the local police raced to the scene, coordinating efforts to bring in a tow truck. The mangled car was hoisted out of the water, concluding a remarkable rescue operation. Miraculously, all occupants from both vehicles emerged unscathed.

Upon investigation, it was revealed that the accident occurred at an intersection of a county road and a township road, devoid of traffic lights. Both drivers were found to be at fault for their lack of vigilance.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
