Police rescued a family trapped in a flood with a 300 metre long rope in southern China.

The video showed that a couple and their 4-month-old baby were trapped in flood near a road. Behind them were torrential floods and steep cliffs in front of them.

The police put up a 300 metre tow rope and lowered the rope to Mr Yuan's trapped family of three, and finally rescued them.

It’s reported that the flood was caused by heavy rainfall and the water level of the Chashan River rapidly rising.

The video was filmed on the morning of July 16 and provided by local media.
