Bizarre Buddhist shrine made of hundreds of statues of roosters
A bizarre Buddhist shrine sits by the roadside - made up of hundreds of statues of Chickens.
The sacred religous structure was found in Nakhon Pathom province on the outskirts of Bangkok, Thailand.
Footage shows how the statues of roosters are lined up on tables. There are also offerings of fruit juice and fizzy drinks for Buddhist spirits, that are believed to live in the strange 'spirit houses' at the shrine.
Locals believe the roosters will bring good luck and help to fight away evil spirits, a strong theme in Buddhist folklore. They are also used to pay respect to the historical figure Panthai Norasing, who was renowned for honesty and integrity.
