Highlights of EFF's anti-racism march in Brackenfell
South Africa's third largest political party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), marched on Brackenfell High School to protests against racism at the school. The school came into the spotlight after a video was posted on social media which showed that no students of colour had been invited to a prom organised by the parents of students.
The EFF bussed in hundreds of supporters to protest outside the school. The protesters were met by a contingent of riot police behind barbed wire who fired teargas, rubber bullets and used a water canon to hold back the crowds when there were incidents of violence.
