White South African political activist name calls black politicians at gun law protest
Neil De Beer, a white leader of a little known political formation called the United Independent Movement (UIM) name called South African police minister Bheki Cele and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema. De Beer was speaking at protest against pending gun law changes which will eliminate self-defence as a valid reason to own a firearm.
Bheki Cele is the national police minister deployed by the ruling African National Congress. Julius Malema is the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, South Africa's third largest party, having received more than 13% of the vote in the 2019 elections.
De Beer's UIM is at this point not a registered party with South Africa's Independent Electoral Commission. De Beer was speaking to a group of about a 100 protesters outside South Africa's parliament.
