Man on IV drip guards pile of cash after £8,000 falls from residential building in China
A kind-hearted man on an IV drip guarded thousands of pounds in cash after it fell from a building in eastern China.
The video, captured in the city of Jining in Shandong Province on December 1, shows over £8,000 in cash scattering from a residential building and falling onto the parked vehicles below.
A man holding an IV drip walked to the site and stood there to look after the cash until the police arrived.
According to local reports, an elderly man named Liu's wife accidentally scattered the cash down the building through their flat window as the plastic bag opened by the window and broke when Liu's wife was tidying up.
The old couple did not know the incident until a neighbour told them.
The kind-hearted man who was on an IV drip in a clinic on the opposite side of the road witnessed the incident and went to stop people from gathering and picking up the cash.
After police checked and confirmed Liu's identity, firemen and police officers helped Liu pick up the over £8,000 cash together.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
