A man heroically rescued a boy dangling from the 7th floor of a residential building in southern China.

The video was filmed in Fu'an City in Fujian Province on November 11.

A young boy, playing at home, accidentally climbed out onto the ledge of an 8th-floor window. The child then tragically fell, landing precariously on the security window grille of the 7th floor.

In a courageous act of heroism, a bystander named Yang Huanguang, risking his own safety, mounted a daring rescue. Yang runs a recycling shop nearby and has experience in high-altitude window disassembly, realised the urgency of the situation as the fire brigade and police had not yet arrived. He quickly returned to his shop, grabbed a pair of metal scissors and a cutter, and rushed to the scene.

Once he reached the balcony of the affected floor, Yang immediately secured himself with a safety rope and climbed out of the window to save the boy.

Yang held onto the railing with one hand and embraced the child with the other. The boy struggled midway, causing Yang to fear he might not be able to hold on if the boy moved too much.

A nearby parent helped to soothe the child, and together they convinced him to stay still while Yang carefully lifted him to safety. A parent then took the child back inside.

The moment the child was safely handed over to his parents, Yang felt a huge sense of relief.

徒手攀爬窗外，上演高空“生死营救”。

据救人者杨焕光介绍，他在事发小区边上经营一家废品回收店，有过高空拆窗作业的经历，当时发现男童困在防盗窗上的时候，消防队、派出所民警都没有到，想到自己平时做的作业跟这个也有关，感觉安全系数是在可控范围内，就回了店铺，拿了一个金属剪刀和一个切割机，急急忙忙地赶过来。上到事发楼层的阳台，杨焕光看清了出事幼童身处的位置，不敢多拖延一秒钟时间，就在腰间系上安全绳，徒手翻出防盗窗去救人。

杨焕光说：当时我一只手抓着栏杆，一只手抱着小孩，小孩在中途挣扎了一下，当时我心里有点怕，因为他挣扎了，活动如果太大的话，我怕抱不住，当时有点小担心，不过那小孩年龄比较小，他再挣扎力气也没多大，所以我心里还是比较踏实的，后来旁边也有个家长在安抚他，我也在安抚他，我们说你不要动，我们慢慢地把你抱上去就可以了，后来他不动了，我就再接着把他抱到上面，有一个家长出来把他接回去了。
把孩子平安送到家长手中的一刻，杨焕光心里的石头总算落了地。他说，救援过程中他也有过顾虑，但是当时情况容不得他思前想后。
杨焕光说：如果万一没救好的话，责任也很大，自己也有点后怕。我现在心里感觉松了一口气，平时在街上碰到其他事情的时候，如果是在自己感觉能力范围内可以做的，我一定会伸出援手。
