Helen Zille, the former leader of the Democratic Alliance and former Premier of the Western Cape has come to the defence of Lindsay Dentlinger, the eNca news anchor who was accused of racism in February. Social media users reacted in outrage when Dentlinger asked a black politician to wear a mask during a post budget speech interview but did not ask a white politician to wear a mask. Both Dentlinger and the media house who employs her was accused of racism. Zille and Democratic Alliance member of parliament, Geordin Hill-Lews, then came to Dentlinger's defence. Zille was speaking at the Cape Town Press Club luncheon about her new book, #STAYWOKE Go Broke.
