A brave man rescued a 4-year-old boy hanging from a fourth-floor window of a residential building in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Nanchang in Jiangxi Province on March 16 shows a security guard protecting a man named Xiong Xiaohui who stood on the clotheslines outside the third-floor window to hold up a boy hanging from the fourth-floor window.

In another clip, Xiong was seen climbing up to the fourth floor with his bare hands to reach the stricken infant.

According to reports, Xiong heard someone from a nearby building shouting: "Can anyone help? A boy climbed to my balcony!"

So he asked the security guard named Huang Sanhe to rush to the third-floor balcony with him.

Two other security guards held a quilt under the building, in case the boy fell.

According to reports, the boy's mother was taking another child to school while he was asleep.

When he woke up, he stood on a chair and climbed out of the window.

Fortunately, he was not injured in the ordeal.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
