Dozens of trucks deliver 1,000 tonnes of supplies to Shanghai, a city in lockdown

Dozens of trucks from China's Anhui Province delivered 1,000 tonnes of supplies to support Shanghai on March 30 during its COVID-19 lockdown.

Forty-one trucks carrying 1,000 tonnes of more than 40 kinds of vegetables and agricultural and sideline products including, Chinese cabbages, carrots, cucumbers, onions and potatoes drove from Fuyang City in Anhui Province to Shanghai City.

The supplies were worth around 4,000,000 yuan (£480,000).

According to reports, local authorities have decided to divide Shanghai in half for a two-part lockdown, using the Huangpu River as a dividing point.
