Two workers rescued a mother and a daughter trapped in a car that fell into a lake in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province on March 29 shows a car with a mother and a daughter inside sinking in a lake.

An excavator was used to try to take the car out of the water.

Since it was windy, the car fell into the lake after being taken out for a short time.

So a worker named Gu Jianzhi controlled the digger to hold the car and the other worker named Yao Wanshun tried to open a hole in the car roof with a hammer.

After around two minutes, the sunroof was broken. The two workers then helped take the mother and the daughter out of the car through the sunroof.

According to reports, the baby's cry distracted the mother during driving, causing the car to lose control.

The mother and the daughter were sent to hospital for treatment and they are in stable conditions.

3月29日，江苏苏州，下午2点左右，在金庭镇阴山岛附近，一辆轿车失控冲进太湖，岸上群众急忙呼救并报警，但由于车辆已经远离岸边有数米，大家都束手无策。眼看轿车不断下沉，即将没顶危急时刻，附近一艘施工船上正在干活的工人姚万顺和顾建志，听到了岸上人的呼救，立即开船赶来。
施工船上正好载了一辆挖掘机，顾建志尝试操控挖掘机打捞，眼看救援就要成功，但湖面风力很大，车辆出水不久，又再次掉进水里，顾建志急中生智，用铲斗控制车身，延缓其下沉。姚万顺拿起铁榔头，开始敲砸轿车的天窗，花了两分钟左右，才把把车辆天窗玻璃敲掉。
车窗被敲碎后，过了二三十秒，母亲突然用尽全力托举孩子露出了水面，到场民警和岸上群众大喊“出来了，帮忙拉一下，快快快！”
姚万顺见状纵身跳进湖里，他和在船上接应的顾建志，先把孩子救上打捞船，再把母亲拉了上来。
经过及时送医治疗，母女二人已无大碍，据悉，当时母亲因孩子哭闹分心致驾驶失控。她表示，多亏了两位救命恩人，之后一定会当面感谢他们。
