Dozens lift car and rescue trapped driver after collision in China
Dozens lifted a car and rescued a trapped driver after a collision in eastern China.
The CCTV footage was filmed in the city of Jiaxing in Zhejiang Province on September 8.
A car collided with the vehicle ahead and lost control, flipping over in the middle of the road.
As the overturned car sat helpless on the road, the driver inside was in a dire situation. Desperate cries for help echoed as the driver struggled to open the damaged and deformed car door, only to find their leg pinned, rendering them immobile.
Two individuals from a vehicle behind rushed to the side of the overturned car, attempting to lift it. Unfortunately, the vehicle was too heavy for them to handle alone, and they were left with no choice but to raise their voices and seek assistance from the passing crowd.
Upon hearing their pleas, bystanders swiftly gathered at the scene. From a nearby bus, carrying workers headed to the Qinshan Nuclear Power Station, dozens of workers quickly disembarked to join the rescue effort.
Within moments, a makeshift rescue team of over 40 individuals had assembled. In a remarkable display of teamwork, they managed to lift the car's weight in a mere 80 seconds, successfully freeing the trapped driver and righting the overturned vehicle.
After the successful rescue operation, the assembled group dispersed silently, going their separate ways.
The driver was swiftly transported to the hospital for medical treatment, thankfully without major injuries.
