A COVID-19 worker fainted as they suffered from heatstroke while delivering supplies to residents in lockdown in Shanghai, China.

As the weather is getting warmer, the worker was reported to suffer from heatstroke and fell down to the ground. Passersby immediately came to help and gave him drinking water.

The man was able to recover after he rested.

It’s reported that since Shanghai was in lockdown at the end of March, the majority of Shanghai residents have depended on COVID-19 workers or volunteers to fetch necessities for them because they are not allowed to leave their homes according to the local pandemic rules.

There are now nearly 300,000 confirmed positive cases in China, with most of the new cases coming from the recent outbreak in Shanghai.

Under the strict pandemic rules, logistics of necessities have become a serious issue to citizens because many delivery staff were isolated at home and transportation in and out of Shanghai needs to be strictly certified.

The video was filmed on April 11 and provided by local media with permission.
