This is the scary a pickup truck was stranded after it stalled while trying to cross a river that had overflowed during Typhoon Hinnamnor's onslaught in the Philippines.

Footage shows the vehicle submerged in the brown torrent after heavy rain in Midsalip town in Zamboanga del Sur province on September 1. Resident Carmen Lumandas said the pickup was pulled to safety by local officials once the water subsided.

State weather agency PAGASA said Hinnamnor, locally known as Henry, entered the Philippine weather monitoring area at 5:30 pm local time on Wednesday.

The typhoon then barreled towards South Korea and made landfall near Geoje City in the country's southeast on September 6, leaving at least 11 dead and three injured. South Korean officials said thousands were evacuated as some 8,328 houses and 3,085 commercial buildings were flooded.
