Baraah finds a wavy lined emerald moth caterpillar in her garden in Al-Qalamoun, Lebanon while visiting for the summer.
"This is a Wavy-Lined Emerald Moth Caterpillar, one of the coolest caterpillars you’ll come across, it’s known for its camouflage tactic. We found this one in our garden while visiting my hometown during summer. This caterpillar uses silk to stick whatever plant its feeding on onto its back, in order to hide away from predators. The one we found has basil flowers on its back since it currently lives on our basil plant. What’s even cooler is that once the flowers on her back wilt, it replaces them with new ones!"
