Dozens of men pulled a beautifully decorated chariot during the festival of lights in Thailand on November 9.

The chariot carried a trophy that was awarded to the best-illuminated float.

On the last night of Yeepeng festival of lights in Chiang Mai, a royal chariot leads a long procession of decorated floats and performers to the Ping river. It carries a portrait of King Vajiralongkorn and a royal trophy awarded to the best illuminated float. Thousands of locals and tourists line the route, temples are decorated with candles and lanterns. The festival has religious significance as it is also a thanksgiving to rivers, with people floating krathong boat lanterns in the rivers in celebration.
