A bungling truck driver spilled a trailer full of sand into a pond while making a sharp turn.

Footage shows the 12-wheeler delivering the construction raw material to a remote village in Lampang province , northern Thailand, on January 31.

The driver had to negotiate a narrow dirt track alongside a local agricultural reservoir which include a 90 degrees turn to the left.

However, the wheels of the trailer being pulled by the lorry slipped down the dry bank - causing the trailer to topple over and spill the building site sand into the water.

Onlooker Nay Jakkod Khanchai said: ‘I warned him that there was not enough space to make a turn but he wouldn't listen. The trailer had to be dragged out of the pond and then he needed to return to take another batch of sand.'
