A dramatic video has emerged of a huge bull elephant attacking a van full of tourists at Kruger National Park, South Africa last month.

The footage, captured by a tourist, shows the moment the animal slams headlong into the side of the vehicle, in an apparent attempt to flip it.

It is unclear what provoked the elephant, although the park rangers have been alerted to the incident.

Thankfully, none of the passengers of the van were injured in the charge.

"We were heading South to the Malelane gate to leave Kruger Park with the whole family in a mini van.

The Elephant then tried to flip over our car, [but] luckily that did not happen.

We had damage to our car but luckily we could drive away," the filmer wrote online.

This is a short video of an Elephant Bull attacking a mini van full of tourists and tried to 'flip' the van.It is not clear of what aspired before the attack or why the Elephant reacted in this way. The visitors
clearly gave him space and then tried to pass the Elephant. It is then when suddenly the Elephant turned towards the vehicle and crashed into it, hitting it on the side door (2 photos of the vehicle after the attack clearly shows this).

Luckily the tourist got away with only a few dents and scratches to the vehicle. This Bull Elephant could have been in musth which makes them more aggresive.
