CCTV footage shows magnitude 6.3 earthquake shaking a neighbourhood in Japan.

Video shows the moment the tremors struck the Suzu area of the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture on May 5 afternoon.

The Japanese Meteorological Agency said the quake measured a powerful 6 on its shindo intensity scale and struck Ishikawa Prefecture at a depth of kilometres at 2:42 PM.

There were no tsunami warnings, and no immediate reports of injuries.
