A tourist in southern China has experienced the thrill of riding China’s longest escalator, the Crown Escalator.

The video was filmed in Chongqing City on May 26.

The Crown Escalator is 112-metre long and 1.3-metre wide. The lift altitude is 52.7 metres and the angle of the slope is 30 degrees.

The one-way ticket price is 2 yuan (£0.23) and the whole journey on the escalator takes around 2.5 minutes.

The Crown Escalator connects Lianglukou and Caiyuanba Railway Station. It is the longest escalator in the country and the second longest escalator in Asia.
