Heroic mall worker saves elderly woman and child from escalator fall in China
A mall worker saved an elderly woman and a child that fell down on an escalator in eastern China.
Heart-stopping moment filmed in Qingdao City in Shandong Province on April 18, shows an elderly woman and child tumbling down an escalator at a shopping mall.
A quick-thinking mall worker named Xia Rong sprang into action and managed to shut off the escalator within just five seconds. He then rushed to the scene to comfort and care for the shaken pair.
Thankfully, neither the elderly woman nor the child were injured
and they were able to continue their shopping after the incident.
Xia said, "I just did what anyone else would do in that situation. When someone is in danger, it's natural to want to help."
