A boy was lifted up in an elevator after a leash attached to a goat got stuck in the doors in southern China.

Terrifying moment filmed in the city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province on June 6 shows an elderly man entering an elevator with a boy, who was holding a rope attached to a goat.

However, the doors closed before the goat had entered the elevator, leaving the elderly man in a state of confusion as he desperately tried to press the button to reopen them.

Unfortunately, the elevator began to ascend, causing the rope to hoist the child off the ground and suspend him mid-air. The goat, outside the elevator, was also caught by the neck and lifted up.

Thankfully, the elderly man acted swiftly and managed to retrieve the young boy, ensuring his safety. But the goat did not survive the incident.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
