Car owners used bricks to elevate their vehicles to escape flooding brought by typhoon Haikui in southern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Fuzhou in Fujian Province on September 6.

The filmer named Sun clarified that the car was not lifted by a crane. Instead, the owners had meticulously arranged bricks on a graded slope, gradually driving the car onto this makeshift platform.

The vehicle was raised by an astonishing 50cm, successfully averting any potential water damage. Distressingly, nearby vehicles that didn’t employ this method weren't so fortunate, with many suffering water ingress.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
