From the archive: Drone captures spectacular Litli Hrutur volcanic eruption in Fagradalsfjall, Iceland
Drone footage from July shows spectacular lava fountains and flows in the Fagradalsfjall volcanic area of Iceland.
It is the same area the world is watching for a possible eruption, after thousands of earthquakes in and around the town of Grindavik.
The spectacular footage is from the mountain of Litli Hrutur and was filmed on several occasions between 17 and 21 July 2023.
Despite being shot by drone, the sound is real -- recorded with microphones at ground level.
