Gamers calmly carried on playing as an earthquake shook an internet cafe in the Philippines today.

Video shows the unfazed youngsters engrossed in their video games as the magnitude 5.9 quake rattled the shop in Caloocan City in the Metro Manila region on December 5 afternoon.

Philippine seismological agency PHIVOLCS said the tremor struck at 4:23 pm southeast of Lubang town in Occidental Mindoro province some 320 miles away from the capital city Manila. It was tectonic in origin, and was recorded at a depth of 79 kilometres.

PHIVOLCS said no damage was expected from the quake, adding aftershocks were likely.

It comes after a powerful magnitude 7.4 earthquake jolted Surigao del Sur province in southern Philippines on Saturday evening, killing a pregnant woman in Davao del Norte province.

The Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7,000 islands inside the Pacific 'Ring of Fire' where the majority of Earth's volcano eruptions and earthquakes happen.
