A boulder tumbling down a mountain hit a passing car, injuring 1 in southwestern China.

The terrifying dashcam video was filmed in Yanjin County in Yunnan Province on January 26.

A sudden landslide struck the G85 Yinkun Expressway near Zhaotong, A car, unfortunately, bore the brunt of the calamity as it was hit by falling rocks during its journey.

The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries in this unexpected event, and the car itself was severely damaged.

In response to the emergency, the Shui Zhao highway police swiftly took action to control traffic and ensure public safety. They implemented traffic control at the Liangfeng Ao No. 1 Tunnel for vehicles travelling from Chongqing to Kunming and near the Chuan Si service area for those heading in the opposite direction.

Motorists were organised into queues as they waited patiently for the road to be cleared.

Thanks to the rapid response and emergency rescue efforts, the affected section of the expressway has now reopened to normal traffic.

The injured driver was promptly taken to the hospital, where they are receiving treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.
