A canopy collapsed just a second after a mother and a son stepped inside their house in central China.

The CCTV footage was filmed in the city of Enshi in Hubei Province on February 4.

A 3-year-old boy on a toy car accidentally knocked into a supporting column of a yard's canopy. The child's mother, upon noticing the precarious situation, scolded him, fearing the collapse of the snow-laden structure. She urgently instructed him to call for his grandfather to fix the dislodged pillar.

The toddler, heeding his mother's words, shouted for his grandfather, indicating the urgency of the situation. As the mother urged her child to come inside, they narrowly escaped catastrophe. Just moments after the boy entered the house and his mother was about to follow, the entire roof succumbed to the weight of the snow and collapsed with a thunderous crash.

Fortunately, the mother and son avoided being crushed by the collapse canopy.
