A quick-thinking father saved his daughter from a 100kg flying door during an extreme weather in southern China.

The terrifying video was filmed in the city of Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province on April 1.

A girl attempting to capture an extreme weather on her phone took a perilous turn. As she stood near a window, holding her phone aloft, the living room's sliding door was suddenly blown over by the ferocious wind, crashing down upon her.

In a moment of swift action, her father, Mr. Huang, intervened, shielding his daughter from the full brunt of the falling door. Miraculously, thanks to his timely response, no severe injuries were sustained.

Huang revealed that the door weighed a hefty 100 kilograms, and both he and his daughter suffered bruises to her shoulder and his arm, respectively.

They still felt some pain the following day but were thankfully otherwise unharmed.

The region experienced scattered thunderstorms, with some areas hit by severe lightning, short-duration heavy rainfall, thunderstorm gusts, and hail. Ganzhou city recorded the highest rainfall, significantly affected by the hail and strong wind.
