A man's timely warning saved a mother and a child from a collapsing wall in southern China.

The CCTV footage was filmed in Chongqing City on September 11. As a mother and her daughter walked by the wall, a man named Li shouted a warning, urging them to move quickly. No sooner had he raised the alarm, the wall crumbled.

Li and his family recoiled in shock, while the mother swiftly pulled her child to safety, narrowly escaping injury.

Mr Li stated he had been warning passersby about the wall after noticing the crack. He emphasised the potential severity of the incident had he not been there, but gratefully, there were no casualties in the aftermath of the collapse.
