A cat came out of nowhere to pounce on an unsuspecting bird while its owner was teaching it how to walk towards a syringe filled with water outside of his home in San Pedro City, Philippines, on February 14.

As the six-week-old African lovebird named Lola waddled along a wooden bench, a cat suddenly leapt up and pinned down the bird.

Luckily, the owner jumped in to save the lovebird. He pushed away the cat, which fell to the ground, and helped Lola, who was shaken but unharmed.

“The cat jumped up from nowhere,” the owner said. “It was very sneaky and quiet because I didn't even notice him. It happened so quick.”

This little bird had a lucky escape - after being snatched by a waiting CAT.

The six-week-old African lovebird was being trained by its owner how to walk towards a syringe with water inside.

But as it waddled along the wooden bench, a tabby cat leapt up and pinned down the bird, named Lolo, hopeful of snaring it for its lunch.

Luckily, owner Einahd, jumped in to save his baby lovebird Lola in the yard outside his home in San Pedro City, Philippines, on Wednesday morning (14/02).

He pushed away the cat which fell to the ground and helped Lola, who has shaken but unharmed, back to her feet.

Einahd said: ''My Lovebird was walking along. I was training it to come for water. The cat jumped up form nowhere. It was very sneaky and quiet because I didn't even notice him. It happened so quick.

''The bird, she's about one month and two weeks old so she's still very innocent and not aware fully of things around her. She's lucky that the cat didn't get her.''
