This is an easy and free method of making your own solar eclipse glasses using what you already have. This is a similar method that was used by generations before us. Only, I've added soot to actual glass sunglasses to make the viewing experience comfortable and fashionable. In past years, people around the world have added soot to a piece of glass for viewing eclipses. Where I live, there were no viewing glasses left for sale. So, I was forced to come up with my own viewing lenses. My family viewed the eclipse using this method. Never stare long at the sun for any reason though, even if you are wearing special glasses – quick glances only. This video was filmed August 19, 2017 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, United States.
