sei dodok adalh old village in kototinggi west sumatera province. This village still has a traditional house of Minangkabau tribe. this house called umah godang means grand house. not many more villages in western Sumatra that have as many and as many traditional houses.
every house is kept and is still occupied. this is due to strict custom rules. these customary rules are still obeyed by the people. this house may be renovated but should not be replaced with another building. may be added to the new building beside it.
their lives are exactly like 3 centuries ago. consensus becomes the reference and the rules that must be kept.
all of them farmers and some small traders.
