Eid al-Fitr prayers are usually performed in the open. field, wide road or open parking lot.
This is a condition of sunnah in Islam. one thing that is highly recommended.
the whole family is invited to perform this prayer including small children and the elderly. if the location on the edge of the main road is rather risky.
parents are allowed to hug their young children so they don't run around and play on the street. Cars and other vehicles are still allowed to pass across the road beside people who are praying.
