Air Canada 737-8 MAX Late Aborted Landing/Go Around at London Heathrow Airport
Watch this brand new next generation Air Canada Boeing 737-8 MAX perform an awesome late go around (aborted landing) at London Heathrow Airport (LHR/EGLL).
With Heathrow being one of the busiest airports in the world, and with all arrivals on one runway, aircraft spacing can get pretty tight. The 21st April 2018 was no exception. A Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) A320 had landed just before this Air Canada and was unable to fully vacate the runway in time for the ACA to get in safely because another aircraft was on taxiway A and there wasn't a lot of room for the SAS. Air Traffic Control promptly instructed the Air Canada to perform a go around. The Air 737-8 MAX powered up and climbed away, turning North before being vectored back around for another approach, this time with no issue.
I managed to capture the whole event as well as live ATC communications which I have subtitled.
