Horrific CCTV footage shows an out-of-control bus mowing down a dozen of motorcycles and people sitting in the motorcycle showroom in India
In a tragic incident, an out of control government bus rammed inside a motorcycle parking and mowed down at least 10 motorcycles before crashing into the people sitting in the reception area.
The incident was said to have occurred in Chinatalapudi of Andhra Pradesh in southern India.
The horrific CCTV footage shows the out-of-control bus carrying passengers narrowly missing a two-wheeler rider and then hitting a bunch of other motorcycles parked just outside the showroom.
Three people can also be seen getting wedged between the parked motorcycles and the bus and were seriously injured in the accident. However, the parked motorcycles somewhat cushioned the impact and the allowed the three people to survive, in what could have otherwise easily crushed them to death.
A person’s lower portion of the body can also be seen crushed in between the vehicle and the reception table as another man rushes to his rescue. He can be seen asking the driver to stop the ignition as he tries separating the table to free the man.
The incident occurred to the failure of brakes. Although in such circumstances, the ignition can be turned off and the vehicle can be made to come to a halt but in this case, it was too late before the driver could realize that he had lost the control over his vehicle.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital by the bystanders and the people nearby. The driver was not booked as he had lost his control over the vehicle. It is not yet known if the transport department had paid for the losses due to the accident to the shop owner.
