Driver 'distracted by her GPS' hits man repairing his motorcycle
This is the shocking moment a driver who was allegedly distracted by her GPS app hit a man repairing his motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was vulcanising the rear tyre of his scooter on the roadside when a white sedan suddenly rammed into him in Bangkok, Thailand.
CCTV footage shows the speeding four-wheeler crashing into the victim as he crouched down to inflate the wheel on June 28.
The rider can be seen being dragged along the asphalt together with his motorbike.
Upon witnessing the incident, bystanders and nearby mechanics rushed to help the man.
Local media reported that the group took the injured victim to the hospital, where he is now recovering.
The motorcyclist sustained a chipped tooth, abrasions on his body and face that required seven stitches, a fractured right arm, and body aches from the impact.
The female driver said she had not seen the man and admitted she was distracted while using Google Maps.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
