Metropolitan Police respond to "urgent assistance" call at London Hospital

On the night of 2nd November 2018 police officers, who were called to St Thomas' Hospital, requested urgent assistance after a patient became violent towards them and medical professionals. 2 police officers were spat at, at some point during the incident, but are both safe and well and there were no other reported injuries. The patient was transferred to a different hospital. Around a dozen or more police vehicles, marked and unmarked responded. The area was quickly flooded with sirens and a large police presence became established around the hospital.
