A flock of great dusky swifts, also known as waterfall birds, were spotted clinging onto a rocky cliff face behind a roaring water torrent in Argentina.

The footage, filmed on December 2, 2018, shows the small birds who are known for flying through the wall of water to nest and protect themselves from predators.

Nature enthusiast Bob Humphries told Newsflare: “These adult Great Dusky Swifts were clinging to the rock wall of Alvar Nunez Falls in Argentina’s Iguazú National Park, being covered in spray from the roaring torrent nearby, this behaviour protects them from most predators, even if the penalty is to be perpetually wet!”
