A massive storm battered eastern India’s West Bengal state causing largescale destruction to properties.

Footage captured on April 16 shows a house made of tin being toppled and torn to pieces as the wind blew over the districts. Heavy rain lashes Hyderpara Bazar area of Siligiri city further in the video.

Aftermath footage also shows the damage inflicted by the storm with toppled trees strewn all over the streets on April 17.

No reports of casualties have been reported.

A massive storm battered the northern part of eastern India’s West Bengal state causing a largescale destruction to properties. The storm blew over Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling districts of the state on Apr 16.

Visuals from the spot showed house made of tin being toppled and torn to pieces as the wind blew over the districts.

Another visual showed a heavy rain lashing Hyderpara Bazar area of Siligiri city.

It showed a vehicle approaching the right of the screen and slowing down. The camera panned to show something blocking the road.

Though not very clear, it resembled an animal, which may have been killed during the downpour.

Footage filmed on Wednesday morning showed the damage inflicted by the storm.

Filmed by a biker, it showed toppled trees strewn all over the streets like nine pins.

No reports of casualties have been emerged so far.
