Rogue elephant causes panic during political party procession
An enormous elephant goes rogue in a street packed with people attending a publicity drive for a local political party on 21 April in Pala, Kerala India.
The footage shows people crowded around the elephant who is initially part of the procession. However the large mammal quickly starts spinning around in an aggressive manner sending fear into the crowds.
The mass of people disperse immediately forming a wide circle around the unpredictable elephant who runs off down the street. The person riding the giant beast tries unsuccessfully to get it to stop and sit down but instead elicits a loud snorting noise from the animal.
It is not clear in the footage if anyone is hurt but it is clear that the political party's procession is completely disrupted.
