This was the moment a group of office workers in Farringdon, London gathered around the kettle to witness an unbelievable feat of modern technology.

In footage captured this morning (April 24), Hermione Hellyer poured boiling water into a mug she received as a gift from her colleagues.

The mug, which showed a portrait of world-famous artist Bob Ross - who passed away in 1995 - on a black background revealed a stunning work of art as the boiling water heated the cup.

As the thermochromic pigment activated Hellyer's colleagues gasped in awe of what was being unveiled.

The workers ended the tea-making ceremony with a round of applause.
