Greece has declared a state of emergency after a violent storm killed seven people at a popular tourist resort.

140 others were injured after gale-force winds, rain and freak hail storms struck the Halkidiki peninsula in northern Greece.

A woman recounts "It was like a tornado rotating, some debris broke the door of my house, It was like television shows cyclones in USA, that same situation was done to us. We did not have time to do anything, we suddenly heard strong wind noise roaring, we close windows shutters, my husband told me not to get out of the house and he was right because the air was full scattered objects, It was the first time I saw this, fortunately I was not injured. Inside the house suddenly I heard a loud noise and I thought it was a lightning when the storm calmed down and went into the room I saw that the roof had been collapsed and a large piece had fallen into my bedroom"
