Beachgoers amazed when pilot whale swims a few feet from the shore
Beachgoers were amazed when a pilot whale appeared a few feet from the shore.
The enormous creature swam over to locals who had gathered next to the water in the Sanxiantai area of Taitung County, Taiwan on July 29.
The pilot whale approached them and circled several times, with its fin piercing the surface while squirting water in the air.
Tour guide Zeng Shicheng took the footage showing the interaction between the whale and the people. He said: "These creatures rarely go this near to people. It was amazing."
